How to Have Nice Clothes and Ride a Motorcycle?

Motorcycling does not mean the compromise of your dressing style. Many believe that looking good is incompatible with motorcycle riding, but this is quite the opposite. In fact, with the appropriate riding gear, smart choices, and a little planning, one can keep up the style while being protected.

Here are the steps to walk the fine line between looking great and riding a motorcycle:

1. Aim for Stylish Protective Gear

The first step is to source motorcycle gear that does not compromise on looks for safety. Today, more and more modern motorcycle apparel brands create gear which just merges safety with style.

Motorcycle jackets come in slim-fit styles now-a-days, classic cuts and even leather look kinds that merely resemble regular streetwear but have armor and abrasion resistance included.

Kevlar-reinforced jeans look just like regular denim but do offer actual protection in a fall.

Armored riding shoes and boots are made in both sneaker and boot styles so that you get protection without losing street cred.

Weight your gear using CE-approved armor, and focus on cuts and designs that match your taste-whether that is minimalist, vintage, rugged, or urban.

2. Layering Smartly

Layering smartly is a great way to remain stylish. If you are properly geared before  riding, you can wear the protective gear over your regular clothes and remove them once you get off the bike.

For instance:

Under your riding jacket, wear a thin T-shirt or geometrical dress shirt.

Use lightweight base layer pants under your armored pants if you plan to change into something more stylish later on.

Pack foldable, wrinkle-resistant clothes if you are commuting to an event or meeting.

Motorcycle jackets with removable liners are ideal when going from bike to office or dinner with friends.

3. Protective Undergarments Are A Must

If you want to wear your everyday clothes while riding, consider investing in armored base layers. These go underneath your normal clothes and come with flexible protection at the shoulders, elbows, back, hips, and knees.

This means you can wear:

A regular coat over a protective armored shirt.

Stylish jeans over armored leggings.

Casual boots with hidden toe and ankle protection.

They surely  cater to the taste in fashion and the necessity of protection.

4. Bring a Change of Clothes

Carrying a change of clothes can be practical whether you're heading to work, an event, or on a date. Here's the gist:

Roll clothes to prevent wrinkling and save packing space.

Some waterproof bags or packing cubes will help keep clothes clean and dry.

You could consider keeping a clean pair of shoes or a dress shirt at work or in the top box.

This is a useful strategy when the ride might be long or the weather might be inclement.

5. Gear Should Be Breathable and Versatile

When you purchase your gear, get something made for all sorts of conditions. Get ventilated jackets, all-weather pants, and moisture-wicking inner layers so as to always maintain comfort.

Some motorcycle gear are perfectly crafted to work as casual wear once you step off your bike: that black leather motorcycle jacket? dual function as protection and fashion statement.

6. Don't Forget the Accessories

Add tiny touches that can enhance both style and safety:

Chic-looking helmets, may it be matte finish, retro flair, or sleek design.

Neck tubes or buffs poised to match the outfit and keep wind and dust at bay.

Fashion-looking leather gloves, but fully armored on the inside.

All these little things will keep you looking good, with safety never being compromised.

Final Thoughts

Riding a motorcycle does not mean you have to sacrifice good looks. Present-day motorcycle gear is designed for the hardcore fashionista. Go ahead, stay fashionably safe and ride with confidence-whether to work, on a date, or to just bask in the glory of the open road.

I followed the sizing chart and the fit is great. Very comfortable and nice ventilation for hot weather riding.

Wardler rain coat

I ordered an XL to go over my jacket I usually wear when riding and it was perfect. The color is bright and it feels like good material. I would have given it a 5 but haven’t tried it in the rain yet.

Pleasantly surprised

Cleaned on a Facebook ad because the gear looked like good quality. Did a little prior research and other users seemed to have good experiences. I purchased a pair of leather gloves and was blown away by the quality. I have expensive gloves from the typical brands and these are on par but far less money. Already took them on a ride and they performed well. I did need to stretch them a bit but now they are perfect. Couldn't ask for anything more. The leather is quality, the stitching looks impressive and the styling is great. I'd highly recommend their gloves and will probably try other gear
